The following list is a non-complete list of features, which are intended to go into release 1.0. Some of them are implemented already, for others there's merely a written or non-written technical concept.

	:	extensible: it is possible to provide custom ACL, notation processor, storage method, and grove plugins
	:	user and role based security
	:	client-server layout
	:	transport security: provides tls/ssl transport layer encryption and x509 based authentication
	:	efficient data transfer (compressed down- and upload)
	:	WebSGML conformant sgml parser
	:	DSSSL transformation and style engine
	:	integrated workflow mechanism
	:	versioning and branch support

 Supported platforms                                                                                                                        

iji/dms is developed on a x86/linux system, running debian 3.0. Once iji's features will freeze and the code became more settled, other platforms will be targeted at.
